Hello, I have a general question about a unit. I see for example "Panzerjäger-Regiment 61 Abteilung 54" of the 11.Panzer-Division. Does the Panzerjäger + Abteilung denote that there is armor attached to the unit? Panzerjäger's were usually equipped with PAK guns, so does this just add some Panzer tanks with it? What were the tanks normally added? JagDPanther?

You are correct that the standard equipment of a Panzerjäger unit were 3,7cm, 5cm, 7,5cm etc.. Pak guns. Then you have several additions during the reorganisation during the war.
It is a little bit hard to explain in english... a Jagdpanther etc.. was no tank but a tankhunter. Such tankhunters were attached or made up independent tankhunter units - Panzerjäger Abteilung xxx
Some divisional Panzerjäger units were equipped with the Pz.Jg.IV.
The divisional Panzerjäger units were later in the war equipped with Sturmgeschütze which was starting the war as close support artillery but evolved into the anti tank role later on. Strictly spoken they were also no tanks because of having no turret and playing a different role than a tank.
