Schimpf badge ???

Postby WARNACH » Sat Dec 15, 2012 12:34 pm

Hi all,
I came across this not-typical Schimpf badge on a needle.
The normal badge would be plain zinc with a diameter of 25mm.
This one is partial coloured with green enamel and measures 21mm.
I've never seen this form.
What is the opinion of the experts?
Date?

If it would be a fake, IMO, there would be more around...
Are there known war-time badges of this kind?

Thanks
Peter

Wartime produced Schimpf badges were hollow backed pin attached type. The quality of this one is not as crisp. I would suggest it is post war and perhaps produced for veterans to wear, but not a wartime one.

Kind Regards,
Simon
