Miracle at St. Anna

Post by panzermahn »

Hello folks

Has anyone watch this latest war movie? I had watch and it is a very heart warming tale. I saw Christian Berkel, Waldermar Kobus as well as Alexandra Maria Lara (Axis Sally).

I have no idea why during the scene of the massacre of St. Anna di Stazzema, the camera specifically pointed to an officer's SS collar tabs, shoulder tabs as well as the Reichsfuehrer-SS cuff title.

some of the war scenes were quite good. Though I find it hard to believed that a Flak 88, when firing, its barrel does not recoil (it seems the gun barrel of the Flakk 88 shown in the movie indicates a monobloc construction rather than a two piece barrel to allow recoil)

Did not notice the 88 Flak miscue. Movie was okay, but nothing great. Not sure if German Unit IDs were current.

It is, of course, total fiction.
