Christmas TV fiasco

Post by Rolf Steiner »

OK, I'm scanning the listings here, but other than ITV4 showing Aces High and 633 Squadron, it's all looking a bit sparse... where are my goddam xmas war flicks???

Damn, you done the homework already!!!

In fact, I'd sooner do South Pacific than sit thru Von Ryan or The Great Escape one more bloody time! At least got Night of the Generals last year!

P.S. it would also be worth checking what FilmFour are showing in their mid-afternoon war film spot through the Festive Season...

As it turned out, I ended up settling for several episodes of that bloke from the Sootie show crossing the width of the country in a barge. Getting a bit too comfortable with this middle-aged bloke tv! Was quite interesting tho. There's a memorial to some Polish airmen somewhere along the route.

Guess what, I was so hungover today I DID sit thru Von Ryan's Express, somewhat apathetically, and it just made me feel worse! Frank did a much better job in Man With The Golden Arm...
