Warszawa (Warsaw) - Ochota on 8-9 IX 1939

Hi all.

I've just read that attacks of German 4. Panzer-Div. on Warsaw launched on 8th and 9th September 1939 ended up with heavy tank losses. German unit was trying to take the city as soon as possible, and armoured spearhead was cut off from it's infantry. As a result, the Germans lost about 120 tanks and armoured cars on 9th Sep. alone (some of those losses weren't "total", of course).

Could anybody check those numbers? The spearhead was cut off inside the city (Wola-Ochota districts), so the casualties could have been that high. The book quotes, that according to German documents 35. Pz-Rgt itself lost 65 (30 totally) tanks on 9th Sep.

With regards,
