Hello to all ; a little more.............................
The LWS - Landwasserschlepper in action.
As all German armor it was driven forward by a pair of caterpillars. The bow and the entire hull was shaped like a boat hull and its cabin structure, with round ox eyes reinforced the impression of a tugboat equipped with chains. The cabin had space for a crew of three and 20 passengers. The structure acting as a chimney was the engine air intake through which received cooling air. The vehicle had another axle aft, exhaust, which through a 9.3 hp fan, derived and expelled exhaust gases. To move in the water had two large propellers at the stern. The trailer in contrast to the LWS was flat and had three axes, one in front and two rear. For loading the trailer had a rear ramp and could carry up to a Halftrack tractor Sd.Kfz 18 t .; during the voyage, the crew of the loaded vehicles had changed to the cabin of the LWS.
Below several photos of the vehicle .............................

Re: The Landwasserschlepper.
Any idea as to the colour(s) of the LWS pictured above? It appears much lighter than in any other photos I have ever seen .
Thanks. Dave.

Re: The Landwasserschlepper.
I think it's a LWS in North Africa. That's why the colour scheme is lighter.

Prosper.
All the other LWS photos in N. Africa that I have ever seen have the LWS in what appears to be a darker colour. That is why for me, this photo is or appears to be unique.

Re: The Landwasserschlepper.
David, the date on which the various photographs were taken would help, we can assume that they would have repainted the LWS eventually.
