? on Panzerbusche 39 Ammunition pouch

Postby mutt71 » Sat Dec 03, 2011 8:10 pm

I can't find photographs anywhere on the net of an ammunition pouch for the Panzerbusche 39. Does anyone know of any such pouch, if there was one? If there where none, was the ammunition stored only in the boxes on each side of the receiver?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Mutt!

The ammunition for the PzB39 was carried in the magazines on the sides of the weapon. There was no special pouch for it.

Kind Regards,
Simon.

Grüß Gott Mutt71,

There was a special ammo pouch for the Panzerbüsche 39. The pouch held 2 of the ammo boxes that you usually see on the sides of the weapon...as Simon mentioned. There are a few wartime photos that show this pouch. I'll see if I can track them down. Here's some artwork done by military artist Ron Volstad for Dragon Models showing the pouch:

Thanks for the post Patrick,

I was aware of the artwork from Dragon and am hoping that Ron will be in touch regarding the photographs that he based his illustrations on.

Kind Regards,
Simon.
