We are preparing another volume of Nuts & Bolts on the family of German 6-Rad Spähpanzer (wheeled reconnaissence vehicles) from the early thirties, first called Kfz. 67 & 67a, later Sd.Kfz. 231 – 232 – 263 6-Rad and Sd.Kfz. 247.
As no one of these vehicles survived to these days, we have to rely on historic photos on these fighting vehicles and I would ask you, whether you would share some photos of your collection with our readers.

AFAIK The Büssing-NAG G31 was the final pre-production prototype, powered by the Magirus type M206, a 6 cylinder engine.

Gentlemen, thank you for the images, some where new to me. In the last years I have searched for more material on the 6-Rad Panzerspähwagen in public archives - very unsuccessfull. If there are any files left from Reichswehr time they are not open to the public because they are still not digitalized. I continue collecting material (from photos license plate numbers, tactical markings, unit emblems and personal inscriptions on the backside are most helpful) and hopefully will finish this volume of Nuts & Bolts in the foreseeable future.

Hi Raul,
I didn't think that this draisine belongs to the polish forces.
I think that the numberplate with POL 10019 number means that the vehicle on rails belongs to the an polizei abteilung or polizei regiment
POL means Polizei and not Poland .
I am not sure but................

In the foreground a Schwerer Panzerspähwagen (Funk) Sd Kfz. 232, apparently based on the Daimler model and further back a Panzerspähwagen Sd Kfz. 231 on Sep 1939 ..............................
