Hitler Youth memeber

I have a friend who passed wondering if I can find out if he was in the Hitler Youth as he stated he was.Helfried O Rinkleib born in 1926 in Halle Germany.Any help would be most appreciated.

If he was born in 1926, and lived in Germany, he most likely was in the Hajot. It was not realy mandatory, but 99 1/2% expected
