SS-Uscha. Heinz KIENAST from Danzig in 7./SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt 23

Hi!

This soldier was within the 7./SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt 23 "NORGE" from the days when the regiment was established in 1943 until he dissapeared in Pommern in 1945.

Unfortunately both the WASt and DRK has no information on his fate. He was a Gruppenführer at first, and participated in the "Verlorne Haufen" the rest of the company that marsched through russian territory from 27.1.-10.2.44. Only 21 members of the company reached the river Narwa on 10.2.44.

In the summer of 1944 he was awarded the EK I. When Uscha. GRYSKA was KIA on 27.10.44 he replaced him as Kompanie-Trupp-Führer and held this position untill he dissapeared in Pommern in 1945.

I am seeking more personal information on him if there exists any SS-Personalakte to him and any innformation are of interests. I have a couple of images of him and his autograph.
