U-boot films

Post by 5RANGLIAN »

Does anyone know of any short films of U-boats, or other submarines, suitable for younger children? Anglian Jnr. is very interested in subs, and I don't think I can make him sit through Das Boot just yet.

Thanks.

What about that Yellow sub for Junior?

Or some Tintin movies with (u-)boats...

U-boat movies for kids

Hello,
How about the film The Incredible Mr. Limpet. The film (which is part cartoon) is about a man named Henry Limpet (played by Don Knotts), who drowns and turns into a fish. During WWII Mr. Limpet helps the US navy hunt down U-boats. It is a great film and my 5 year old loves it-so do I.

Jody, that's an excellent idea! Great film, too! Haven't seen it in years, but it was quite entertaining!

How junior is Jnr.??? There are plenty of "period" old war films...We Dive, At Dawn, Above Us The Waves, Operation Pacific, Run Silent Run Deep, The Enemy Below...even Operation Petticoat! I think I first saw the pink submarine when I was seven or eight.

Hello Gents:
The scene where "Seaman Hornsby" is smuggled through the MP checkpoint still brings tears of laughter to my eyes every time I see it
