U-195
From another website, U-195 was apparently a 'transport' submarine and had recently delivered cargo (including a dismantled V1 Pulse jet engine, optics, mercury etc) to the Japanese at Jakarta. Engine troubles prevented a return journey and the submarine was subsequently seized by the Japanese and pressed into service upon Germany's surrender. What happened to the crew - interned for the duration?

The Japanese redesignation was I-506.

hi, but why are the crew of that U Boat buried in Indonesia? Did their U Boat sail near there and get sunk, etc?
First point to clarify is that the graves are not all crew from one single boat. Haake is the only member from U-196. Steinfeldt from U-195 died from disentry. Some of those buried were not even U-boat crew. What were the causes of death if known?
Crews interned by the Japanese were held at Changi in 1945, shifted to Britain in 1946 and repatriated to Germany in 1947.
I am in contact with Arthur Badzus from U-859 if you'd like to talk with him ?

I'm in contact with the U-195 survivor Obergefreite M.Müller, at our site you see his picture (taken in 1999) at the grave from Oberleutnant z.See Friedrich Steinfeld.

Re: U-195 crew who buried at Bogor, West Java Indonesia
Don White, I had not heard the U-195 carried V-1 rockets, but U-219 and U-195 between them carried twelve dismantled A4 (V-2) rockets to Djakarta.
There is a credible claim from a crew member of the Chilean cruiser Admiralante Latorre that a type IX U-boat pulled alongside in a Chilean fiord and exchanged charts. It has often been asserted that this was U-196. Now that U-196 has been found in New Zealand waters I do not know what to make of it any more, save that there is now a wreck in Patagonian waters of a type IX as well which can't be identified either.
Maybe that was the U-851 ... Who knows ?
