On september, 16th, 1943, in the area of Stampalia (Aegean Sea), there was a clash between a seaplane Cant Z 506 of the 147^ Squadriglia of the Regia Aeronautica (based in Leros, fighting alongside Allies) and two Me110: the seaplane was shot down but, according to the source herebelow, succeeded to shot down one Me110 and to damage the other.
Any info about this episode on the German side ?
Thanks in advance

Cant Z 506 vs Me110
Re: Cant Z 506 vs Me110
While I have no info on the actual event it should surprise no one that a Cant Z.507 could defend itself against a Me110. It's normal defensive complement was 1x12,7 and 3x7,7 mm mg's. - the 12.7 in a dorsal, 360 degree turret.gttf wrote:On september, 16th, 1943, in the area of Stampalia (Aegean Sea), there was a clash between a seaplane Cant Z 506 of the 147^ Squadriglia of the Regia Aeronautica (based in Leros, fighting alongside Allies) and two Me110: the seaplane was shot down but, according to the source herebelow, succeeded to shot down one Me110 and to damage the other.
