I was wondering how many Luftwaffe Pilots had been in Freikorps Air Squadrons before the outbreak of WW2. And are any of them famous?

most of them were in the nsfk............................

most early luftwaffe pilots were in the nsfk, national socialist's flying corp, flying gliders. very few aircraft for the early luft, due to treaty of versailles. some german pilots snuck off to russia, where they flew aircraft secretly, mostly in the early 30's. a large % would have been in the nsfk though. there was virtually no other way to fly.
