Re: Unteroffizier Gross -- German Cross in Gold
Hello Dale!
In Patzwall & Scherzer's "Das Deutsche Kreuz 1941-1945" (2001), there's only one Gross mentioned that held a NCO rank and was connected to a schwere Panzer-Abteilung and that is Kurt Gross, who received the DKiG on 30.08.1944 as an Oberfeldwebel with the 3./(Fla)s.Pz.Abt. 504.

Thanks Dok - I did find that one as well... I have a diary from a 2./503 guy who mentions that his pz. kommander rec'd the GC in Gold...but I can't find anything to support the claim.
