Can anyone give me any infomation on the units von Scotti was in command of, apart from 227th Inf. Div.
From November 1938-April 1941, he was Arko 35, but which Korps did this unit serve under?
After leaving the 227th in July 1943, he became Harko 304 until August 1944, when he became Harko 306, but I have no idea which Armees these units were under.
Jasons brief biography lists him as a holder of the DKiG, but gives no date, and also doesn't mention the date of his death.
Finally, he gave up command of Harko 306 in mid-January 1945 and held no further posts. Is this correct?

Friedrich von Scotti apparently stopped commanding units after 13-1-45. Maybe he was taken POW or wounded, the bio doesn't say anything.

old post but here is some more info on friedrich von scotti.
he started his military career as fahnenjunker in 1. pommersche Feldartillerie Regiment 2 (Kolberg). in 1912 he became adjudant and entered ww1 in 1914. in 1915 he became batterieführer and finished the war as abteilungsführer with the Feldartillerie Regiment 24, which was attached to the deutsche jäger division.
from 1934 up until 1936 he was abteilungschef in the reichswehr ministerium before he became kommandeur of the artillerie regiment 14 in naumburg, grimma and leipzig.
then in november 1938 he went to karlsruhe and became arko 35 and a generalmajor.
his first ww2 experience was with 93 ID under 7. armee at oberrhein and the 1. armee at the saar front. from april 1941 he took command of the 227 ID and was with them throughout france, belgium and up to the east for more than two years.
he later became arko with the 17. armee.
during the end of ww2 he became us pow and was picked up when he was with führerreserve in naumburg/saale. he was forwarded and became a french pow at a camp in calais where he tried to escape. injured by an accident he was brought to ex ss lazarett in ambergand moved on to generals-lager neu ulm in 1946.
he died on 16 July 1969 after still suffering from his escape accident.
