Hitler hade state visit in Italy and Spain. And head of states give state orders to visiters then it is state visits.

Has anyone seen photos of Hitler wearing any decoration except his Iron Cross from WWI?

(By contrast, was there a medal Goering wasn't seen wearing?)

Hitler cultivated an image of the simple ex-soldier. There are fascinating trial photos of him trying on a top hat and tails and a hunting costume in the late 1920s, but he later consciously rejected these and other flashy dress in favour of a more sober image.

He also pretended that he had no personal fortune, but in recent years it has been found that his income from sales of Mein Kampf alone made him a wealthy man.

My bet is that Hitler was awarded numerous foreign medals but was "above" wearing them as they clashed with his carefully crafted public image.

But, if that is so, what became of his personal medal collection?

Not quite new, but not quite accurate either. Hitler met Franco at Hendaye, just on the French side of the Franco-Spanish border.

He remarked something to the effect that negotiating with Franco was like having a tooth extracted without anaesthetic!

Hitler visit Finland but it was not a formality state visit.
Most time head of state recive state orders is under state visits.

If i dont have wrong, it was forbidden fore germans to recive prize, decorations etc if jews have right to recive same price.
