hi everyone
just noticed this can someone help please,or clarify.
obergfreiter gerhard meyer 9./inf reg 76 20th panzer gren division (mot)
awarded two wound badges in black.
12/2/1942 and 7/3/42.
my question is would that person wear both of these decorations at the same time
there is another case of a person in the same division as above,
being awarded two wound badges in silver.
would he not have got the gold award ??.

I believe that, according to the strict interpretation for das schwarze Verwundetenabzeichen, only one badge was worn for one or two wounds that were not classified as serious (schwer) in nature. Hopefully, some badge experts will weigh in on the topic.
