Does not appear in any book, dictionary or reference work I've ever read. Certainly not a "Rank" irrespective.

re sagittarius
i looked this word up on wikipedia.
i should have done so in first place :oops:

according to them it is the eqvivalent in german.
to a archer or rifleman as in the starsign.
in the german army it rank is i think a schutze. :?:

interesting though when i saw this word i was using google's translator.
i/e german to english.

Hi Charlie,

Makes sense to me, BUT it is/was not a formal German rank as such - not in modern times anyway.
