Feldzüge:
1939 Polen, 1941 HGr. Mitte, 1942 Wolchow, 1943 HGr. Mitte und Süd, ...
Remarks:
- his unit was given as 2./s.Pz.Jg.Rgt. 656 (that is 2./s.Pz.Jg.Abt. 653, Ferdinand), but it was 2. Kompanie of III./s.Pz.Jg.Rgt. 656 = Sturmpanzer-Abteilung 216
- he was used with Sturmpanzer-Abteilung 216 up until Juli 1944 for sure, but more probably up to 27.01.1945
- would be interesting to know something of the circumstances of his dead, including the exact place, because:
Greifenhain 1) near Calau in the Halbe area (note his resting place)
Greifenhain 2) his living quarter near Borna in Leipzig area
So, he might have been killed while fighting south-east of Berlin or died while "at home" !?!?
- Reason for receiving the Ritterkreuz according to „Die Panzertruppe“, März 1944:

If anyone can add something...
