Major Neeth - Norway 1940

Hello there,

I am currently researching for information on Major Neeth. This officer was in Oslo during April 9/10th 1940.

I admit to knowing nothing else about this man except that he took part in a meeting at Norges Bank on April 10th.

Any information on Major Neeth would be warmly welcomed, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant.

I have recently been informed that the name Neeth is incorrect and that the officer could be a certain Major Fr. W Neef. This particular officer was the leader of the Wirtschaftsstab in Norway. I understand he was also the liason officer from OKW for the political German leadership in Norway.

if anyone could add to the above then I would be very pleased to hear from them, especially if there is any connection with an Erik/Erich Opitz - who also served in Norway and conducted interviews/interrogations during April/May 1940.
