RKT SA-Obergruppenführer Otto Herzog
Is anyone able to clear up the fate of the Breslau Volkssturm/SA leader Otto Herzog after the Festung's fall in May 1945? I ask because I've read conflicting accounts of his death. Most say he took his own life (although they don't know how), but I've seen one mention of him dying crossing a minefield. I know he was the only one of the commanders who was against surrender, so I'm leaning towards suicide (well, I'm not personally... ), but I'd be grateful for any input.
