Hello,

i'm Ralf from germany.
My englisch is very bad, but i am looking for the Soldbook of my father. He left the book in 1945 in an american office in Attendorn/Westfalia/Germany.
Please help me to get back the soldbook - it wold be amazing getting the original back. My father is still alive and it would be one of his wishes cause later he wants to give it to me as his son.


His fakts:

Heinrich Heuel
198. Infanterie Division/326. Grenadier Regiment
Birth: 06.12.1923 in Klinke, Listernohl/Westfalen
Beginning April 1942 in Russia
Woundet in November 1944 in Frankreich

Ralf,

I am afraid that you might be asking for a miracle.

Your father's Soldbuch may have been lost/destroyed a long time ago. Your only possibility is that a GI kept the Soldbuch as a souvenir and that it ended up in the hands of a collector. I encourage you to keep looking but you need to accept the fact that your search will most likely not end up with the result you are hoping for.

I am afraid I cannot help you with your father's Soldbuch, but I am curious where your father was wounded in France in November of 1944?? My father's US Infantry Division was in the vicinity of the 198ID during that month. Best wishes and good luck!!
