Hi Marko,

It could very well be Erwin DAHLKE. I tried Google for DAHLKEM, but there are only 3 entries, none of which fit. I even tried DAHLHEM (74 entries) with no luck.

Unfortunalely there are 94,800 entries for DAHLKE, and I'm not scolling through all of those.

The only thing I know for sure is that neither Erwin DAHLKE nor any DAHLKEM or DAHLHEM were ever awarded the R.K.

Interesting note though; there is a Hermann DAHLKE listed as winning the RK with SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt.1 on 03 Mar. 1943. Who knows? Maybe this is our guy?

Hopefully someone out there has an answer to this problem. There are other's that I couldn't find the first name for as well.

Thanks for the effort Marko -

Nah, he was killed in action in July 1943 :( .

Me too.

A while ago I wrote down some names of Panzer aces (1st two coming from Hans-Joachim Jung: The history of Panzerregiment "Großdeutschland" and the 3rd from Joachim Neumann: Die 4.Panzer-Division)
Larsen, Rudolf - 63+ kills (GD) - KC: 23.10.1944 as Unteroffizier and Panzerkommandant 2./PzRgt "Großdeutschland"
Luithle - 70+ kills (GD) - I'll try to find more info;
Himmelskamp, Bernhard - 40 kills (4.Pz.Div.) KC: 13.09.1943 als Obergefreiter and Richtschütze 4./PzRgt 35.

cheers

Hello again Marko,

THAT'S THE SPIRIT !! - THANKS PAL !!

Ya, I guess Hermann isn't our boy if he was killed in July 1943. Can't blame a guy for hoping though? Guess we'll just have to wait for further input from the "brotherhood" !!

Those 3 names you gave me have been added to the master lists !!

Best regards -

Hello All,

Does anyone have any idea why there is such a large discrepancy between the numbers of “kills” that I’ve found for the following:

WENDORFF, Helmut * K's = 84 to 125 * > (SSPz.Rgt.1 / s.SSPz.Abt.101) < RK: 12-Feb-44

FEY, Willi * K's = 60 to 80 * > (s.SSPz.Abt.102) < RK: 29-Apr-45

KLING, Heinz * K's = 51 to 125 * > (SSPz.Rgt.1 / s.SSPz.Abt.101) < RK: 23-Feb-44

BRANDT, Jurgen * K's = 47 to 57 * > (s.SSPz.Abt.101) <

Does anyone have the correct figures, or threads we can go to for more accurate information? I know that some sources have listed “kills” as including ALL forms of AFVs.

Thanks for any assistance!

Hello -
I love the subject and the controversy!!
Here are a couple items that need correcting that I've noticed:

Bölter and Carius were both s.Pz.Abt. 502 -- not SS

"Burmester, Martin" not Burmeister

I'll look it over a bit more as it is my favorite subject.

best,
Dale

Kerscher was also s.Pz.Abt.502 not SS

Are you posting their last known unit or the unit they spent the most time in ?

Hello "Dale" !!

WELCOME ABOARD !!

Thanks for the above information. I have entered the corrections for the 4 mentioned individuals onto the master lists.

Throw as much information at me as you see fit. As I keep repeating ..... I'm totally ignorant on the subject - just trying to carry-on the great work started by Commissar D ~ the EviL et.al.

Best regards -

Nice to see the old troopers back :D .

Some more names:
Lt. Hans-Joachim Weißflog = 47 plus > (Pz.Rgt.16 - 116.Pz.Div.) < RK: 5-Mar-45 (Kurt Wendt: Wir für alle);
SS-Uscha. Felix Przedwojewski = 38 plus > (SS-StugAbt.3 - 3.SS-Pz.Div.) < RK: 16-Dec-43 (Vopersal, Bd.IVa);
and a small correction:
Ofw. Hans STRIPPEL = 70 plus > (Pz.Rgt.1 - 1 Pz.Div.) < RK: 22-Jan-43 OL: 4-Jun-44 (Stoves: 1.Panzer-Division);

cheers

BTW:

Marko – do you have any information about?

WENDORFF, Helmut * K's = 84 to 125 * > (SSPz.Rgt.1 / s.SSPz.Abt.101) < RK: 12-Feb-44

FEY, Willi * K's = 60 to 80 * > (s.SSPz.Abt.102) < RK: 29-Apr-45

KLING, Heinz * K's = 51 to 125 * > (SSPz.Rgt.1 / s.SSPz.Abt.101) < RK: 23-Feb-44

BRANDT, Jurgen * K's = 47 to 57 * > (s.SSPz.Abt.101) <

If not, hopefully someone else (Dale ??) will know why the wide spread in possible “kills”.

OK. I hear you shadow :D but don't have all the answers.

I can only help you with Fey as for the others I would suggest you to use the numbers posted on the original list by Dale, David, Ron and others.

Fey
Here's an excerpt from one of my posts on the old forum:
...if you look at the page 250 (German edition) you will see that he destroyed 48 Shermans, 17 Churchills, 3 Cromwells, 2 Panthers (total 70 destroyed tanks) and 18 SPW.

So, a total of 68 kills (if you don't count the two Panthers, which he destroyed with a panzerfaust).

WENDORFF - 84
KLING - 51
BRANDT - 47

cheers

Hey guys -- I'm not sure on those numbers either -- Fey seems to be the topic of some controversy not only on his kills but also photos he claimed as of himself and also on his awards.
I agree with Marko's nuimbers...
