Silly me  ! Thanks for the link but I already have that basic information . I really need strength returns prior to Nordwind and also what the 7th FJD was up to between October 44 and Jan 45 . I assume the division was in reserve and had time to carry out training but its just speculation . :? Anyone ?

They seem to know less than me unfortunately , oh well I will just assume they were up to strength ( 90% ) and with time to carry out some training . Thanks anyway

I have noticed that in the Ardennes Offensive , the 5th FJD has an assault gun brigade/battalion , whereas the 3rd FJD does not . How likely is it that the 7th FJD would have a StuG/assault gun brigade ?

Hello Kurt:
If you give me some time, I will search my sources for 7 FJD info. I cannot promise anything, but I will try. In the mean time, see what you can find at: http://www.lexikonderwehrmacht.de/ It will let you know what 7 FJD was doing from the period you are interested in until the end of the war. Best wishes.

Kurt:
Could you be more specific about what you are looking for on 7FJD?? I do not have a lot of detail, but I can give you generalized info by date etc. Sorry it has taken awhile to get back to you!! Best wishes.
