The heaviest fighting in Breslau (Wroclaw) took place in the area of the airbase and industrial district of the city. During the first 3 days of the Battle, the Soviets lost 76 tanks and at least 100 in next 2 weeks due to the wrong strategy.

I decided to bought Kershaw's two-volume book. I think it is probably like Richard said, the most balanced and comprehensive biography. Joachim Fest bio about Hitler sounds fascinating too.

It is official now, Kosovo declared their independence today. It is gona be interesting to see what happened in the next days and weeks. Of course Serbia refused to accept that.
