Just a quick update on the situation: AHF's host is currently working on getting the servers powered up again through a temporary solution. The current expectation is that this will take at least 24 hours, possibly longer if there are any unknown problems.

I had AOL users with phpBB before, the problem is that AOL uses rolling IP's so the forum will log you in and issue a cookie but 1-2 pages in the IP changes and the cookie expires..., heres a a post from my own forums that I did to help the AOL ...

Just a quick update: We're currently working on transferring the forum to a more powerful server, which hopefully should solve the recent speed issues.

The recent errors appears to have been an optimisation issue with the database, which would be related to the database being re-installed on a new hard drive. The current downtime is likely an effort to fix those speed issues. As has been mentioned before, these issues are not related to the new sof...

I'm not quite sure what private messages has to do with anything. As for talking behind someones back, that only implies that it's not said to the person directly. Since we can't reasonably expect forum owners to check every forum for posts about their forum, posting about one forum on another one c...

I didn't change anything in my post, which is evident from the lack of an 'edit'-message (I edited my last post, immidiately above yours, to verify that Feldgrau has this function enabled). Not that it's really important, but still.

Nobody said anything about any database being re-build. No information has been lost.

Latest update: Apparently, the host company is having a very hard time getting some of the software up and running on the new hard drive. We don't have an ETA at the moment, but there are people working on the problem. If anyone is having any questions, you are welcome to e-mail Marcusat marcus.wend...

The security warning is just because Microsoft is hysterical. As I've mentioned before: Patience.

My guess it that it's your browser's default serch engine, which has been hijacked by a smammer site.

A quick update: There has been a failure in communications, resulting in the upgrade being significantly delayed. There're people working on it now, and it should hopefully be resolved in a couple of hours.
