Just to supplement Christoph's post - the commanders of both battalions (as of 1 Sept 1939) were Major von Wagner (Kradsch.Abt.) and Major Leonhard (Pz.Späh.Abt.). Hopefully someone can assist with their first names. The source is v. Manteuffel: 7.Panzer-Division.
