Why do French tanks have rear-view mirros? So they can watch the battle.

What do you call a thousand men with their hands in the air? The French army.

Ahhhhh, what would we do without the good ol' Frenchies.

I kind of like what Paul has to say. I may not agree with it but it does kind of boggle the mind. You can't say it's not an interesting different point of view.

I was just going to add We Were Soldiers. It doesn't glorify Vietnam but it tells the story better than Platoon or Hamburger Hill. To me it portrays the soldiers on both sides very well and what it was like being back home. The scene where the wives get letters of their husbands death just is perfec...

Rommel of course. I've read The Life of Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, Rommel Papers, Rommel and his Art of War, and am hoping to grap a copy of Infantrie Greift. I've always been fascinated by him, and want to learn from him. I think it would the greatest thing to spend some time with him.

How old are you solietjake? I'm 15 and I get labelled "nazi." Compared to my peers, and I'm not just ringing my own bell here, I'm much smarter than them. And by reading this forum, it seems most people on here would be on that same level. When I get called that you just have to realize th...

Praise to the Londoners for their resilience. The terrorists who did this will be caught and brought to justice.

I was watching the game and I was glad we did it. We know what a terrorist attack is like, and we honored a faithful ally. It suprises me that people in the UK didn't hear about it.

I'm 15 and so far I've found no one else my age intersted in this subject. My friends are idiots when it comes to this. But don't be fooled by my age, I know the German military well.

I think that in every nation, not just Germany, the only way to repulse a "foreign invasion" is too completely close your borders. But in this day and age I think that is near impossible unless you go the extents Hitler did. My family immigrated to the US late 1800's, so for me to promote ...

In three years I will be a soldier, and I couldn't imagine if a CO of mine got a chance to escape the situation and abandon his men. A leader cannot abandon his men. I could understand if a few men have many kids to take care of, I think they should go. Maybe they would regret it but I sure as hell ...

I am a 15 year old man who lives on a farm in the US. I say this because, I know much about WWII but my lack of experience in the world may discredit my post or make what I say irrelevant. I would like to say to Paul: open your eyes man. Just because you lose doesn't mean you get nothing. Much of wh...

I'd take the T-34. It had good armor, a powerful gun, good maneuverability, was reliable from a mechanical standpoint, and was powerful. It wasn't superior in any specific category but it was a good all-around tank. It could do everything and do it efficiently. The only one that would rival it would...
