Thanks I missed it being Minsk altogether!! got the MG 34, its the guy on the left (as you look at the photo) with the neck scarf he has some sort of MPI I think, Is that a mag bag/case over his shoulder or a map case??

Here are two photos of my Grandad George Parsons (Royal Artillery)taken during his captivity between 1942-45, I believe originally he worked in a coal mine whilst POW until he broke his fingers, he was then sent to work for a family I assume this was in the Hartsmanndorf Chemnitz area as he was POW ...
