How large percentage of the concentrationcampguards served at the frontline at some point? In which units? Was there a lot of circulation? I think a lot of them where in the totenkopfdivision right?

Im just wondering if all the fireworks during new years are painful and unnerving for old soldiers or is it cool? Or civilian survivors from wars for that matter.

maybe the ss-units felt like they had more to live up to than the regular soldier... dunno just a theory after all they were pretty rare.

How common was it to use smokescreens before attacks? From what Ive read it seems to have been fairly uncommon, yet the few times Ive read about it it usually seems to be successfull.
