Poll: Bunker or Argentina
I watched a documentary on Netflix a couple of nights ago. It was about the search for Adolf in the post war years, as many believed he had escaped Berlin to (possibly) Argentina. Frankly, the documentary was quite poorly done and I was disappointed after watching it. However, it did raise the ques...

Re: Gestapo ID Disc
Hello Simon,
I paid nothing. It was a gift from a friend. I knew it was a reproduction.
Thanks

Waffenampt Location?
Hello All, Can anyone tell me the most likely locations for Waffenampt markings on a K98 Mauser? If you own a Mauser and could post pics of your markings, or even locations of Waffenampts that have been obliterated, I would truly appreciate it. Thanks again, PVH

Correct ammo?
Hello all,
Can anyone tell me which suppliers were used to provide ammunition for the CZ27, 7.62 automatic (.32 auto) and what would be the correct markings/stamping on the bottom of a round?
Thanks,
PVH

Gestapo ID Disc
Hello all, I have just received an oval Gestapo ID disc. The obverse contains the words "GEHEIME STAATSPLOIZEI". The face displays the Reichsadler above an alpha numeric appointment of "M 9/86". Can anyone explain this alpha numeric code to me? Thanks, PVH

Nitro Proof?
Hi Guys, Can anyone explain to me what exactly a "nitro proof" is? I've researched some info regarding markings and proofs on my recently acquired CZ 27 and found that the mark containing a large letter N with the Rampant Lion is a "nitro proof". I'm not sure what that means. Th...

Christoph,
Thanks for the quick reply. Is it possible to access any of this information or is it lost to the sands of time?

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know if, when weapons (sidearms in particular) were issued, was a record made at that time of serial number of weapon to assigned to a particular officer?
Thanks, PVH

Re: Bohmische Waffenfabrik
fridgeman,
Yes, that is precisely the stamp. Thank you. I don't know if I can get a clear enough picture of the other stamp to post here as it's so small. I've not been able to find any reference to it anywhere on line. Could you perhaps recommend a site?
Best,
PVH

Re: Bohmische Waffenfabrik
Hello fridgeman, Thanks for the quick reply. I can see no discernable "76, H, or HK" next to the Reichsadler. However, there is a very readable "K" stamped alone just to the right of the swastika circle of the Reichsadler. On the opposite side of the trigger guard there is anoth...
