Thanks a million, Jerry. That was most helpful.
If he was not at Dunkirk in March 1940, was he not in charge of the Germa troops driving the BEF to the coast and beyond? I thought he was.
Thanks again.

Erwin von Rommel - career history
I have been looking for information on General Field Marshall von Rommel's promotion record. I know (Wikipedia) that he started as a Leutnant in 1912, was a Colonel (Oberst) in 1938 and finished up a GFM, but can anybody fill in his ranks in between (with dates)? What rank did he have in March 1940,...

Re: Hans Pieckenbrock
Hi, I have just recently joined the forum and have been searching for information on Hans Pieckenbrock. I am interested in his career in the Abwehr. I would like to know when he joined the Abwehr and when he left. I think his rank in the Abwehr was Oberst. Is this correct? What happened to him? Did ...

Re: German Communications Help Wanted
I have a seperate question about German WWII communications. I'm not sure if I should post it here. I am new to this forum. This is my first post. I am writing a book about the Abwehr, overseas espionage activities. I have picked up quite a bit of information about the transmitter/receivers used by ...
