Re: SS-Kriegsberichter Standarte Organization

I looked around, and this thread looks like a good spot for this post. I found this page in my miscellaneous microfilm file. Not entirely sure how it came to me, but thought you might find it interesting. The following information was gotten from Roll 106 of National Archives Microfilm Publication T...

Re: Facebook group for Wehrmacht related fiction - readers and writers

Well, I've done proof reading for a few authors here. I also have worked with some people who don't speak English as a first language. There was one book that we almost re-wrote, because the translation was rather wonky.

Re: Facebook group for Wehrmacht related fiction - readers and writers

I am also working on a fictional work. It's in parallel with the divisional history I'm working on, so it's going VERY slowly.....

Re: Feldpost Help please

My guess would be the helmet belonged to Hauptfeldwebel Kampe. As to which unit, it's hard to call.

That Feldpostnummer was assigned by rotation to the units listed. He could have belonged to any one of them.

Re: Hello!

Wilkommen, Nico! Where in Norway are you? I've been to Trondheim, a little camp near there, then operating up around Narvik and points east! Beautiful country. The one unit you left out of your list was Schi-Bataillon Norge, attached to 6.SS-Nord, which I'm researching. I can recommend a couple of b...

I work in a jail. Trust me, there are a lot of people in the world with nothing better to do than to make other people's lives difficult.

As I told John elsewhere, it's a continual battle. Some days, the tide comes in faster than we can build the sand walls.
