Last German unit to surrender in World War 2
I'm wondering what the last German unit to surrender was and where they were located at the time of surrender. I understand that in mid May, there was a sizable, intact army in either Hungery or Czechoslovakia that threatened to "fight their way back" if not given safe passage back to Germ...

K98 Mausers
Does anyone know anything about Militech as a source for authentic K98 Mausers? They claim that their Mausers are not Russian remanufactured and are correct, numbers matching. The bad thing, in my opinion, is that the guns recveive new stocks, which, I think, ruins their value. Any opinions. Lsuglia

Ralf Jurs
Krollspell Thanks again. Do you think Jurs was a pilot? Is there a place where I could find additional information as well as how he earned his award? Larry

K98 Mauser
I'd also like to find a "correct" K98 Mauser. I have a nice one,'43 but I'm sure it must be a Russian pick up, although the numbers on the receiver and stock match. The swastika on the barrel is intact and the "bnz"marking states that is was made in Austria, I think in a concentr...

Help decifering a German identity tag.
This is my first posting, so I hope I'm in the right forum. I have a WW2 German identity tag, intact, which was reputed to have been recovered from the Stalingrad area. It was described as belonging to a member of a motorcycle unit. From the glossary site, this appears to be correct, but I'm not sur...
