Richard,

If you have 40 requests in progress I can see why perhaps that yours sometimes takes longer!

Re: grand father served in norway

Good luck with your search. Don't give up and don't get disheartened at what you find or not find. Your family history is important. Its good to remember though that during war things happened and people thought differently than they do today, so its good not to judge to harshly. You may find relati...

Re: What were Hitler's plans for after the war?

The American Veteran said the young German POW was completely confident Germany would win the war. Don't find this unusual. We tend to believe what our governments tell us. Are we not believing our government when they told us about Viet Nam and the war in Afghanistan against the Taliban? No differ...

Re: MIA Veteran books

Don't know about their availability in Berlin, but I know many of us have several volumes in our
possession. I have I-BA and III-LO and I remember another member offering to sell other volumes.

Re: Gifts from Veterans

Its really nice to see some of the gifts from Veterans. Its a great honour to be bestowed upon. There are only one thing that disturbs me to no end is those that seek/given things from the Veterans and then later find out that they sold these items whether articles or autographs. To give such...

Re: Reburied with proper ceremonial

Thanks for the reply.

Nothing to be sorry about, was just trying to make sure I understood the whole ceremonial
and who was involved.

The Youtube segment was in Dutch and German so I didn't really quite understand everything
said. :D

Re: Reburied with proper ceremonial

Was this done in collaboration with the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge?

Its nice to hear that they are buried with proper ceremonial, I am sure their families are
pleased for this!

Re: Startling new evidence!

Great, that Dr. Prit Buttar found the Scarlet Stug that his grandfather was associated with.

When questioned about why he served in the German ranks, he was known to say that his people were Aryan long before the Germans.
He was in a way correct, :D

Re: What do you collect?

Just something to think about when you (everyone) post for the world to see what you collect. I remember a few years ago when it was discovered that a dealer, etc. hired people to rob those he knew that had highly sought after militaria. It always made me realize that one should be careful what priv...

Re: book

Well, yes it seems to me a little expensive but perhaps that is the going rate, will have to check around.

Noticed on ebay

Cloth Insignaia of the SS by John R. Angolia (Bender), book is $195, I am sure I didn't pay near that amount.
I must be completely out of touch with book prices! :?

Re: Who are we, where are we and when are we?

The civilian far left looks a lot like a young Wernher von Braun
Your correct it certainly does appear to be von Braun.
Wonder what he would be doing posing in this photo in those early days?
